This weekend event provided training and problem-solving opportunities for concerned community members, cleanup project managers, and regulators as an effort to improve public participation in cleanup decisionmaking processes. July 13-15, 2001 at Amherst College, in Massachusetts. The first day was a citizen's forum, and throughout the conference a parallel youth forum for young community members and their mentors provided additional activities and opportunities for leaders of community involvement in federal facility cleanup.
