From Fish Pond to Dinner Table One focus of the initiative has been "grow-out" of cachama (Piaractus brachypomus) fingerlings (baby fish) that the project purchases from a local hatchery. Secoya fish-farmers received fingerlings and stock them in their ponds: In six months to a year, the fish can be harvested and eaten!
